Aerospace
Corporation’s Veteran’s Day Observance, 2006
“Steve Clark’s poignant and personal
vignettes of his experiences in Iraq were outstanding, and they
brought tears to the eyes of more than a few of the attendees.”
“Terrific!” “Having wounded heroes from Walter Reed was a joy and
privilege for us.”
J. Strada, Ph.D.
Aerospace Corp.
“Steven Clark
filled our hearts and minds with much-needed patriotic spirit.” “I
related Steve's stories to my 14-year old son that evening. He
listened intently, almost spellbound. He was impacted as much as I
was by the words.”
“It's great hearing the other side of the story from veterans like
Steve Clark, as opposed to what the media feeds us here in America.
Steve made us feel good about our country and proud to be an
American. Our country needs to hear how dedicated and patriotic our
American soldiers truly are.”

The Plenary Session
presented by Staff Sergeant Chris Bain, U.S. Army, and Larry Gill,
OIF Veteran, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Joint Engineering
Conference, August 2006, was the most moving and inspiring I've
experienced. Hearing first-hand from these gentlemen of their
experiences serving this Nation gave us all a moment to reflect on
why we work at VA and who we serve. Their humor, courage, and
humility continue to inspire me.
- L. Costaldo, Training Officer, VHA Office of Facilities Management

| “As a veteran and employee of VA, I
was impressed with the message that Larry Gill and Chris Bain
provided. With their presentation, it was said that we were ending
the conference with the beginning in mind. The presentation brought
the reality of war to those in attendance and how we can and are
providing for returning veterans. I can only hope that others left
the conference, as I did, with a renewed energy to do all we can in
support of out Military Andy
Keirn - Acting Western Team Leader for the Office of Facilities
Management, Department of Veterans Affairs. |
